TiGO Green for Kili​

The TiGo Green For Kili Tree Planting Project addresses the pressing issue of deforestation, promote environmental sustainability, and create a healthier and greener future for our community. Trees play a vital role in mitigating the impact of climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and producing oxygen. However, deforestation has led to a reduction in the number of trees, leading to an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Tigo partners with WWF for their expertise with a primary objective to plant and grow 5000 trees to restore and protect the natural habitats in the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro restoring the source of water at the Ungwasi River catchment and Mbahe Kilimanjaro National Park Authority, with the involvement of the local community, Kilimanjaro National Park Authority (KINAPA), Pangani River Basin in achieving the desired outcomes.
